Players will be broken up by age and attend one of the two sessions each Tuesday night. Younger age players will attend from 8-845pm and older players from 845pm-930pm. Once the registrations are in we will notify you of your time slot.

The Academy will be run by Brendan Eygabroat, the current Head Baseball Coach at UMass-Boston and former coach in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and New England Collegiate Baseball League. Coach Eygabroat has seen a number of his players receive All-New England honors as well as some signed professional contracts. He was named the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) and 2017 D3Baseball.com New England Region Coach of the year! More about Coach Eygabroat's impressive baseball background can be found by clicking on the link below.

Players who sign up will enjoy the benefits of a coach who's worked with both professional and college athletes at all levels. Coach Eygabroat is a sought-after speaker both locally and nationally. He has been a featured presenter at the World Baseball Coaches Convention, ABCA Barnstormers Clinic, Mass Baseball Coaches Association and the New England Intercollegiate Association. He's presented on numerous topics including hitting, catching, practice planning and team defense. His coaching philosophy has helped a number of players earn All-American, All-Region and All-Conference accolades.

Eygabroat is a former collegiate catcher himself at Mary Washington College in Virginia where he earned All-Region & All-Conference honors while captaining his team as a senior to an NCAA Regional Tournament appearance in 2001. After completing his collegiate career, coach then ventured north and began his coaching career as a grad assistant at nearby Suffolk University, where he earned a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration. It was during this time that he found his way into the Reds program, where as a 4 year starter behind the plate for the Watertown Reds, catching many ex-pro & collegiate pitchers, he helped lead the team to 3 playoff appearances in 4 years, including 1 trip to the 2006 Intercity League Finals.

Coach has provided individual lessons in the past to some of the Reds catchers and this is what a few of them had to say about their experience:

"Coach Eygabroat has been a great help, especially the time he spends on the proper mental approach to the game." - 17U

"Lessons were great with Coach Eygabroat!"  - 14U Reds player

"No one knows the game from behind the plate better than Coach Eygabroat. He's a true professional that plays and coaches the game the right way. His demeanor and attitude towards teaching the game is something that all young players need when being coached. I enjoy playing and coaching with one of the best the game has to offer in the New England area. Coach Eygabroat is the epitome of what the Reds are all about and he showed it both on and off the field when he wore the Reds jersey. We're lucky to have him back instructing the current Reds players." - Coach Chiodo
