Bobby attended Maynard High School where he was a 3 time all league-selection and 3 time Central mass all star selection, posting a career pitching record of 21-2. Playing on scholarship at Division 1 Marist College, Bobby was a late inning reliever and eventually a weekend starter. Marist college captured the MAAC championship in 2005 and faced LSU in the College World Series tournament. After his college career he was signed as a free agent by the Kansas City Royals organization. In one season (single A, Burlington NC) he posted a 3.41 ERA as a late inning relief pitcher. Bobby’s coaching career started shortly after his playing days and coached for 5 years at Belmont High school as the Varsity pitching coach, 4 years as the Woburn High School JV coach. He joined the Rivals staff and coached the 12 year old team for 4 years. Rivals joined the Lowell Junior Spinners where he coached for 2 years as well. Hastry has years of pitching/fielding/hitting instruction within lessons and clinics. He is also a high school special education teacher at Woburn High School going into his 11th year.
